Bihar is a place where people live in their own world. it is a state of cultural heritage.
In ancient India, Magadha now popularly known as Bihar was considered as a center of power, learning and culture. From Magadha everything arose, India's first empire, the Mauryan empire, as well as one of the most widely followed religion: Buddhism.Tenth guru of sikh Guru Govind singh bornhere .Mithila in Bihar, was birthplace of lord Rama wife, Sita. Apart from cultural heritage people of Bihar celebrate festivals with great love & happiness.Bihar has a mix culture. Going from east to west & North to south one can easily spot out the difference on the basis of accent & rituals.
- In Bihar major language spoken is Hindi, while Maithili, Bhojpuri ,Maghai, are also spoken widespread in the state.
- Madhubani art is originated from Bihar.
- The Greatest intellectual Aryabhatta, Chandragupta,Chanakya, Ashoka, Rajendra Prasad, Prakash Jha including Rinkia ke Papa they all are from Bihar.
- Biharis are the backbone of Indian administrative machinery. Almost every district in India has a DM or SP who belongs to Bihar.
Bihar is just a victim of massive stereotyping and discrimination.
Stereotypes about Bihar that aren't always true!!
- We don't eat litti chokha daily.
- Not everyone is Bihar carry Gun with them. There are some gangster type people who carry these types of stuffs. Now, most of them are in jail.
- We are from Bihar, but it does not mean that Our world is only limited to Bhojpuri Cinema & Bhojpuri songs "loli Pop Lagelu" .We also listen English song and there is nothing to be surprised of.
- There are only a few in numbers, who used to wear lal gamcha over their neck and filled their mouth with Juban keshri paan masala and keep spitting here and there.
After all, how did situation in bihar become so shabby? What had happen ? And who is responsible ?
It is a matter of sarcasm that once state which was popular for Enlightenment, trade and civilized culture, is now called as uncivilized. Such a time has come now that its own people are departing to other states and distant countries for knowledge and business purpose. There is no fault of Bihar, the culprits are those people who have destroyed the state. All these shabbinesses happened during the governance of Lalu Yadav. But now situation is very much under control because of Nitish Kumar. Bihar has changed a lot under his leadership and there is still a lot to change. Due to former governance, Bihar has got stigma of being uncultered .That's why some people still assume Bihar as an illiterate uncultured people.
How is Bihar now? and what has changed in past 10 years?
- Roads & Transport facilities: Many New overbridges are constructed for smooth traffic & Roads were also built in remote areas. Every village has well connected roads with a nearby town as compared to past years.
- Electricity: In past 10 years, every village of Bihar is electrified & has electricity facility for 20-24 hours. which play a vital role in terms of employment directly or indirectly.
- Bihar has done tremendous work in the field of Education, tourism, per capita income & sports.
- Marketing is also spreading its wings in Bihar. Many new showrooms of the the big brand, jewelleries shops, malls, Restaurants, cinema halls have been opened.
- Most of the criminals have been sent behind the bars. Crimes rates have reduced significantly.
- Dry day or alcohol ban, Sharab Bandi was a marvelous step taken by Nitish Kumar.
Bihari accent has already gained its popularity in Indian cinema, there are a lot of movies like Pk , Gangs of Wasseypur, Gangajal and so many other movies in which Bihari accent is used.
• Bhari mistik ho gya sir, ek dam blunder ho gya - Gangajal
• Pahchane nhi Humka ,Hum pk hoo pk - Pk
I don't know much about the rest but it makes me feel happy whenever i say "Hum Ja Rahe hae", "Hum kha rahe hae" instead of " Mai Aa rahi hu " or "Mai Ja rahi hu".
Who is the best comedian of India? Kapil? Bharti ? Krishna ? Na!! All of them are nothing in front of Lalu Yadav. whenever he comes on stage to give his speech, literally No one can stop themselves from laughing.Interesting fact is that you will find Bihari in every corner of the world like oxygen.
Some things that never change and should not be changed in Bihar.
1. International litti Chokha - Everyone's choice and mouth watering street food of Patna.
.
2. Holy Chhatha Puja -
3. Ganga Ghat and it's evening -
4. Crowd of Patna Boring Road Chauraha -
5. Respecting the elders - it is our tradition to respect our elders. We also use Aap term for them .
CONCLUSION:
I have millions of things in my bouquet about Bihar, for which I have genuine love & respect. Some bad & notorious incident are also there but I don't think due to this whole Bihar & Biharis should be criticised.
